How do you take care of YOU?

Are you the person watching out for everyone in the family and making sure they're ok?  Which means that you often get the short end of the stick! And when you are not taken care of everyone gets shorted as you crash.  Does this sound familiar? This post is an idea-generator of all things lifestyle.  

Supplements are a pretty common thing.  You'll find them lining the shelves at Walmart by the hundred.  However, they are rarely found in family budgets.  There is a belief system that supplements aren't needed: and you can get all the nutrients directly from your food.  

Let's debunk that right now, and dive right into the world of supplements.  I'm going to highlight my TOP 5 supplements that should be daily staples (just based on the greatest needs of the human body). You can't get everything you need from food alone.  Sadly the food we eat today has been damaged after being repeatedly grown on the same soil-depleted land and sprayed with pesticides and fertilizers.  Scientists are breeding new varieties of crops to grow faster and resists bugs.  The plants don't have the time they need to absorb the same nutrients.  The soil loses its vitamins, minerals, and microbes faster then they can be replaced (and that's only if they are using good seeds).  Many of the seeds now are made with genetically modifed seeds.  Almost 80% of all corn grown in the U.S. is made with genetically modified seeds. This also affects any products that contain corn (such as corn syrup).  We have NO idea what that does to the human body or DNA. 

Supplements are not about curing disease.  They are about supporting the body so it can do what it was created to do.  Your body knows how to heal itself.  You just need to make sure it has the tools (the antioxidants, and probiotics, etc.) that it nees to be strong enough to fight.

How Do I know If A Supplement Is Working?

Outside of just "remembering" to take a supplement by making it part of your routine, let's end with a smidge of science.  Every cell in your body is replaced about every four months.  That means from head to toe, in 16 weeks, you have a completely new body.  You have shed the old, it also means there is four months of reprograming that has to occur.  I'd say you can't make a huge decision on whwether or not a supplement is working for you until the end of month four.  Then, go off of it for a week, see how you feel, and you'll see your answer.  The best way to "test" a supplement is to let it build in your system, then go without it.  If you see any affects from a supplement that you don't like, stop it right away.  Then, take 30 days of Sulfzyme, which is a strong detoxifier: and then slowly reintroduce the supplement to see how you handle it.  If it's still a no-go, see if there is another Young LIving suplement in that "family" of supplements that may do the same thing for you.  

How you feel matters.  You can't do what you were called and created to do when your system is always depleted.  Get serious about supplements.  It's part of your core health.  Feed the body to use the body effectively.
