3 Lessons from The Alchemist That Hit Home for Me
I just finished reading The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, and I honestly didn’t expect it to speak so deeply to my current season of life—but it absolutely did.

This book is more than just a story—it’s a journey. And if you’ve ever felt like you’re being called to something new, something meaningful, something uncertain... I think you’ll find a lot of truth in it too.

Here are three lessons that really stuck with me:

1. "When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it."

This one gave me chills. Over the past year, I’ve stepped out in faith—leaving a long-time role, starting over, trying to build a business that helps people live healthier, more natural lives. Honestly, it hasn’t been easy. Sometimes I feel unsure or wonder if I’m on the right path.

But this quote reminded me: I’m not doing this alone. I truly believe God is guiding the way, opening the right doors, and placing the right people in my life. I may not see the big picture yet, but I’m learning to trust that I’m being led.

2. "People learn, early in their lives, what is their reason for being... but the truth is, it's always there."

Whew. That one hit me hard. For years, I poured my heart into serving others—first in corporate travel, then in education. And now, in this new chapter, I’m rediscovering that same passion through a different lens—helping women take control of their health and homes, naturally.

There were moments I thought maybe I’d missed my calling. But this reminded me: our purpose never leaves us. It might shift or evolve, but it’s always there, waiting for us to say yes again.

3. "You will never be able to escape from your heart. So, it’s better to listen to what it has to say."

This one is so real. My heart’s been nudging me for a while now—to do something meaningful, to create, to serve, to be bold enough to build a life that aligns with my values. It’s scary sometimes—especially when you’re starting over at a time when most people are slowing down.

But I’ve learned: when we ignore our heart, we feel restless. When we listen, even if we don’t have it all figured out, peace and purpose start to flow.

If you’ve been feeling that tug in your spirit—don’t ignore it. Whether it’s a new dream, a shift in direction, or just the desire to grow—trust that it’s there for a reason.
You’re never too old, too late, or too far off to start listening again.
